The Icknield District Christingle

Date: 2nd Dec 2018 Author: Scout Websites

The Icknield District Christingle provided a huge amount of fun for Beavers, as well as getting them to think about the true meaning of Christmas.

The afternoon began with games led by each group, where the Beavers got to have a run around and indulge their competitive sides. The smiles and laughter were a delight to behold and there was definitely note-taking by some leaders so that these games could be tried out back in their Scout huts!

The Beavers then made their own Christingles before Fr. Paolo talked about what each part represented, with many of the Beavers demonstrating their own knowledge. Fr. Paolo also led the music when parents arrived at the end, ablely assisted by Libby.

Thank you to David for leading the afternoon and to Jan for her help on what was her last District event. The Beavers left on a high and a great time was had by all!
Best wishes, Angela
